Feisty penguin Bandit undergoes dicey but life-saving surgery to remove a fish hook from his stomach. Peanut has a chest infection, Nipper has been bitten by a dog, and the penguin patrol has a busy morning relocating birds from dangerous spots in town.

A penguin is rushed in suffering from a suspected shark attack, the first eggs of the season start to hatch, little Bruiser has been attacked by a seal and is taking too long to shed his feathers, and it's touch and go whether two abandoned chicks will survive.


Documentary series following a Cape Town hospital dedicated to caring for the city's penguin population. The team cope with a number of poorly penguins with leg injuries, there has been a caracal attack out at Stony Point, time is running out for a dangerously underweight one-day-old chick, and Lorraine gets to name one of the hospital's long-term inhabitants.

It's breeding season, and at the Boulders Beach colony ranger Minette witnesses a battle for love. Three flea-ridden little chicks from Robben Island are rushed into the chick rearing unit. On the eve of his release, Rudy suddenly finds himself in a fight for his life. Colin may have one foot and serious health issues, but Marna is determined to get him fit enough to return home.
