Three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood.
After battling the worst of a zombie apocalypse, a motley group of survivors agrees to transport antibody carrier Murphy from New York to California.
Following Murphy's launch of nuclear warheads, the team splits up to outrun the coming blast and the hunt for Murphy reaches epic proportions.
Murphy and Warren find themselves alive in Zona, a zombie free playground for billionaires. Meanwhile, the rest of our heroes are fighting alongside the last of the humans against the mutated Zombie Virus and the unkillable “MAD-Z's.” Warren's mysterious dream of a black rainbow and flesh-eating black rain propels the season forward and puts our heroes in the middle of an even worse Zompocalypse.
