María is a thirty-year-old from Madrid who is dissatisfied with her existence and, despite her efforts to make an artistic career a reality, she has no choice but to end up working in a flower shop in her neighbourhood.
Maria has been making bad decisions for a long time. One night, Maria takes what's left of the gram of cocaine and continues to party to forget everything.
María is overwhelmed by guilt, but she decides not to share it with anyone. She tries to return to her routine, but she only has one name on her mind: Santiago Aguirre.
María, half aware of what it means to meet with Santiago's son, tries to find any excuse not to go to the date. Finally, motivated to confess, she goes to the meeting.
Maria needs money to pay her new lawyer. She is forced to turn to the world to which she had sworn never to return: advertising. This hostile situation makes her relive her beginnings.
Anxiety grows and Maria is increasingly cornered. The time for her statement for the trial approaches, and she looks for a way to escape.
Maria wanders through the inhospitable steppe. She flees Madrid, accompanying Fausta out of the capital so as not to have to return home.

María struggles to face reintegration, as prejudice and distrust soon surface in those who discover that she has been in jail; she works hard to keep her promise, though her daughter doesn't make it easy for her.
María makes one last attempt to be social again and goes to a party. Clinging to her faith and her prayers to Santa Teresa, she tries to fight the demons that come her way, but it is not that easy.
María continues her work in a haunted house at a fair; Yasmín escapes from her house when she finds out about an upcoming visit; María starts using drugs again when she feels under a lot of pressure.
María goes on a road trip that turns out like she did not imagine.
With no change of clothes, no money, desperate and very sweaty, María arrives in Torrevieja. She set out to fulfil her promise and continues in her endeavour.
