When a newly promoted football club lose their trainer just before the start of the league season, a female, Helena Mikkelsen, gets the historic chance to coach the team, even before an ambitious retired professional.
The team starts the new season at Lerkendal with a new, young player making a nervous debut. Helena can't make contact with her daughter.
Adrian is selected for his national team debut, but Helena doesn't think he's ready. Rebellion breaks out in the squad when it becomes clear that not all players are equal.
