When a group of archaeologists uncover the tomb of a legendary warrior, they unearth Kuuga’s belt, accidentally releasing an ancient race of monsters called the Grongi, bent on destroying humanity. Enter Yusuke Godai, a modern-day guy next door, who learns he is telepathically linked to the mysterious stone belt. With its power, he transforms into the legendary warrior known as Kuuga, humanity’s only defense against the murderous Grongi monsters.
Godai awakens from a nap at the Pole Pole and finds a scrapbook with newspaper clippings about his battles as Kuuga. As he reminisces about each fight, gaining each of his forms and the Gouram attachment for the TryChaser, Godai gets a call (presumably from Ichijou, it's never made clear who it is) about a new Gurongi. Godai heads over and transforms into Kuuga to face off against the beast who introduces himself as Go·Jiino·Da. After a fierce battle, Kuuga manages to defeat Go·Jiino·Da via Mighty Kick, however, when he stands up, he has suddenly transformed into Rising Mighty.
This special serves as a summary of the previous few battles against the Gurongi as they get stronger and stronger, as well as a build-up to the last three episodes and Kuuga's battle with Daguva. It is a clip show of past episodes (specifically 32-46) which features very little new footage, most of which is revealed to simply be a dream.
A group of archaeologists open a tomb that awakens horrible monsters, while journeyman Yusuke Godai is compelled to access a strange belt from the tomb to fight back against them.
A drunkard witnessed a murder by an Unidentified Lifeform near a Church. Meanwhile, Yusuke is bothered by the idea of fighting and is unsure if it was right until he saw the daughter of one of the slain archeologists crying.
Yusuke Godai leaves the message, "I've returned to Tokyo because of some important business. But I will return tonight."
As #5 continues to rampage with her speed through Tokyo, Ichijou must come to a decision regarding whether to work alongside Yusuke.
