A group of college kids driving on an unfamiliar winding road through a national park accidentally run over an unsuspecting squirrel. They quickly discover that this is no ordinary road—the woods are alive with the undead, animals reanimated as vengeful, murderous zombies!
A trip to the lake goes horribly awry when a car runs over a squirrel. Little do the passengers know that when something gets run over on this road, it comes back to life... for revenge.
Day turns to night, and the creatures are hungry for dinner. Simon rushes back to save his friends before it's too late.
Half a dozen cars lie empty in the middle of the road. The remnants of a bloody massacre. Simon searches for survivors. But the only survivors have fur and an unquenchable thirst for blood.
Simon and his friends battle dozens of bloodthirsty critters. In a final confrontation with the zombie squirrel, they discover the rule of the road.
