Tusenbröder is a drama TV-series on Swedish Television in three seasons, from 2002, 2003 and 2006. The third installment of the series first opened on the big screen, March 10, 2006, edited together as one film, before later being shown on TV as a longer series.
Hoffa floats ashore in Estonia after his stolen getaway boat has exploded. He tries to begin a new life in Estonia, but the longing for his family back home becomes too big and he decides to get back to Sweden. Now a tough struggle begins to get himself home to the family, a family that has moved on with their lives and also thinks that he's dead. A past as a bank robber and a fugitive is not making the journey easier. Along the way back to Sweden more problems arise that makes it even harder for him to meet his family again. Meantime back in Sweden his family is struggling with difficulties which they don't know how to solve. The time is running out and things don't look good at all.
Amanda förlorar barnet vid födseln och hon och Niklas går i samtalsterapi. Hoffas bank hotar med att säga upp villalånet och Annelie börjar förstå att han har problem med ekonomin. Men Hoffa är alldeles för stolt för att ta de händer som räcks ut för att hjälpa honom. När hans bror ber att få hjälpa honom säger han nej. De tre har hittat en liten bank i ett samhälle i Södermanland som de rånar en kylig vinterdag. Efter rånet stoppas de i en poliskontroll men de har tur och kan åka vidare.

Hoffa has a relationship with the woman in the family and her husband finds out but forgives Hoffa when he saves his little daughter from drowning. Hoffa decides he wants to go back to Sweden and uses a fake passport, but the police soon find out he has resurfaced. In the meantime, the marriage of Annelie and Patrick is cracking.
