Gordon Rogers, an immigrant who came into the U.S. as a child and dedicated his life to achieving the American Dream, experiences both an insidious obsession with that dream, and the societal limitations to it placed upon certain groups.
In 1956, Federal Agent Gordon Rogers investigates the reported alien abduction of a Native American family living in rural Connecticut.
Mabel uncovers more information about the alien abduction, while Gordon plans a family-bonding trip with his wife and their new daughter Abigail.
Days before their own disappearance, Glennie and Gilberto Sutton reckon with the kidnapping of their daughter. Gordon follows Mabel as she visits a person of interest in the alien abduction case.
Abigail discovers a dark secret about Gordon’s work. Gordon confronts Mabel about her trip to the Sutton Farm, and a neighbor approaches Gordon with a unique question.
