The Technical tests the bakers on the Scottish staple of shortbread. Then in the Showstopper, the bakers showcase their national pride with a celebratory cranachan creation.

There are 30 baking challenges for the bakers to try their hand at. Those who don’t make the grade are asked to leave, while the one who consistently rises to the challenge is named Star Baker.
