A young man who showed little promise while a high school student becomes a master detective, just like his grandfather.
At Fudo High, the principal receives threatening letters from someone called the "Afterschool Magician," who warns them to stop the plans to tear down the old school building. Scary rumours of students who died in the "Seven Mysteries of Fudo High" began to spread again, and it isn't long before Kindaichi and Miyuki gets involved when the Mystery Club asks them to help investigate. When the members of the Mystery Club turns up dead one by one and Miyuki also gets attacked, Kindaichi realizes that he must solve it before anymore people are killed.
Kindaichi and Inspector Kenmochi are helping out with the filming of Shock TV, a reality show that pulls pranks to shock celebrities. The crew is filming at the house of a painter located in an area purportedly haunted by a legendary snow demon. These legends seemed come to life when an actress is murdered on television by the figure of a snow demon, to the horror of the cast.
HAJIME (Ryosuke Yamada), the grandson of the prestigious Kindaichi Detective and his childhood friend, MIYUKI (Haruna Kawaguchi) arrive in Hong Kong so Miyuki can participate in a fashion show as a fill-in for Yang Ran, a model gone missing. While the friends are sightseeing, Miyuki is suddenly abducted. Hajime soon finds out that Yang and Miyuki are exact look alikes and that Yang has a tattoo, signifying the location of the "Kowloon Treasure"--rumored to be worth billions of money and guarded by a man known as the "Kowloon Emperor". Was Miyuki mistakenly kidnapped instead of Yang? In his search to rescue Miyuki, Hajime is drawn into a string of murders connected to the treasure which has been lost for two decades.... What is the truth behind the mysterious treasure and will Hajime be able to save Miyuki...alive?
When the head of the touring magician’s group "Magical Fantasy" is murdered on a train while on his way to Hokkaido, young Kindaichi, who also just happens to be on board, is fast on the case to find the culprit. But just as quickly as the case unfolds, the body disappears only to be rediscovered again, along with other new bodies
In this episode, Hajime Kindaichi, Miyuki Nanase, and their English teacher, Susumu Odagiri, go to the Cross-shape Village to take Wakaba Tokita from the forced marriage. Wakaba was found dead inside the locked church with his head missing when they held the ritual before the wedding. Afterward, another villager mutilated, and his condition imitates the mummy they had. Hajime and the others try to find the true identity of the formless murderer, the fifth mummy.
