Teresa flees Mexico after her drug-runner boyfriend is murdered. Settling in Dallas, she looks to become the country's reigning drug smuggler and to avenge her lover's murder.
Forced to work for a cartel that recently killed her boyfriend, Teresa relies on her street smarts, a loyal friend and a mysterious notebook to survive.
Teresa and Camila become partners and set out to end Epifanio and build their own drug empire. Meanwhile, someone from Teresa's past re-enters her life.
