When the fate of their world, Ninjago, is challenged by great threats, it's up to the ninja: Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd and Nya to save the world.
Kai grew up dreaming of becoming a blacksmith like his father. But that was before skeleton warriors ransacked his village and abducted his sister Nya. Now he's training to become a ninja master of spinjitzu in this Lego martial arts saga.
Long ago, the Four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu were created by a great warrior who created Ninjago, the First Spinjitzu Master. When he passed away, his sons were tasked with protecting them but the older brother was consumed by evil and became Lord Garmadon, determined to use the weapons to reshape Ninjago in his own image. Sensei Wu was forced to banish his brother to the Underworld and hide the four weapons with dragons as guardians. However, Lord Garmadon has recruited an army of skeletons to find the map that will lead them to the four weapons. Sensei Wu needs Kai, Zane, Cole and Jay to use Spinjitzu and the Tornado of Creation to find the weapons first. Only then will the world be safe.

Music Night in Steeper Wisdom is turning into a disaster due to Dareth’s “screechy” clarinet performance so after a sip of Musicali-tea, the Ninja pull their band equipment up on the stage and “rock the joint.”

The team learns about Jade Blades and other secrets of the Tournament of Champions. Karlof is eliminated from the competition.
The contests begin, and soon Cole is forced to battle with Jay. Zane regains his memory with help from P.I.X.A.L.
The remaining Elemental Masters compete in a roller skating competition. Cole, Karlof and other eliminations must work in Chen's noodle factory.
The ninjas form an alliance with the Elemental Masters after revealing Chen's plan. Cole and Zane break out of the noodle factory.
Lloyd and Garmadon learn of the great battle that once took place between Chen, the Anacondrai and the Elemental Masters for control of Ninjago.
It appears that all is lost when Chen drains the powers of the Elemental Masters and vanquishes Lloyd in battle to take control of his as well.
Chen and his army invade Ninjago City, but the masters have escaped the noodle factory and follow close behind. Garmadon narrowly escapes banishment.
Master Chen uses a spell to turn himself and his troops into fierce Anacondrai, but the ninjas visit Ninjago City's jail to recruit an unusual ally.
The final confrontation between the ninjas and the Anacondrai unfolds, but a great sacrifice must be made if the heroes are to save the day.
In an epic quest to save Lloyd, the Ninja will travel to uncharted lands, meet new allies and gain powerful weapons, unlock unknown powers, all while battling the supernatural Cursed Spirits in an effort to stop a monstrous deity from cursing all of Ninjago.
Morro possesses Lloyd and uses him to infiltrate the tea shop and attack the other ninja, who have mysteriously lost their powers.
