Lizzie, a teenage girl brought back to her childhood home after the suicide of her father, is reunited under the same roof as her sister and eccentric mother. When she stumbles across a sinister mirror, she becomes trapped within the glass and replaced by an entity that seeks to tear her family apart.
An evil force waits to take advantage of the deepening divide between two sisters who have split reactions after their father's mysterious death.
After the death of their father, estranged sisters Lizzie and Jo are back together under their mother's roof on the night of the winter formal. Jo chooses to go out with her friends while Lizzie isolates herself, unable to think about fun at a time like this. Will the sisters ever see eye to eye?
What did Lizzie see in the mirror? Not even she understands, and she certainly can't explain to her distracted mother or self-absorbed sister. As Jo and the other party guests return home, Lizzie retreats to her room where something in the mirror follows her.
