Idriss Toma, 46, the Parisian lawyer of the rich and powerful, sees his life turned upside down when he is the victim of an attempted murder. He miraculously escapes but an inoperable bullet fragment could now be fatal at any moment. Determined to correct his personal and professional mistakes, he returns to Lille, his hometown and joins forces with Nadia Ayad, a committed lawyer and Jeanne Vanhoven, a former glory of the bar.
