The program is a weekly music show that features and introduces viewers to the most popular artists in Korea. Every week, they ask viewers to vote and select the most popular song of the week.
Inkigayo (Korean: 인기가요; English title: The Music Trend, previously Popular Song) is a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS. It airs live every Sunday at 3:40 pm KST. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform on stage. As of May 17, 2015, it is hosted by GOT7's Jackson Wang,[1][2] Kim Yoo-jung and BtoB's Yook Sungjae.[3] It is broadcast from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.[4]
The music show features live performances from leading K-pop artists, including the debut stage of EXO with “History” and “MAMA”.
The weekly live music program brings chart-topping K-pop performances, special stages and announces the winner of the weekly chart. Featured line-up includes LE SSERAFIM, BABYMONSTER, BOYNEXTDOOR and more.
