Housos is an Australian comedy television series created by Paul Fenech for SBS, that screens on SBS One. The series is a satirical parody of low income Australian residents of fictional suburb Sunnyvale, who are living in Housing Commission public housing. On 1 November 2012, a film based on the series was released in Australian cinemas, titled Housos vs. Authority. On 9 September 2012 it was announced that Housos would return for a second series, which premiered 22 July 2013.
Franky, Shazza, Dazza, Kev and Vanessa are the Housos of the Housing Commission. Lifelong unemployed bludgers they are entirely reliant on government pensions to support their way of life. That way of life entails stealing, bashing, bonging, drinking and rooting each other and whoever they meet down the block - the very worst park of the very worst suburb in Australia - Sunnyvale. When one of their unAustralian neighbours dobs in the Housos for collecting extra welfare payments, the stooges at Centerlink deliver an ultimatum - make an onstage educational presentation about life in Housing Commission or lose the government pension forever. Head honcho Houso Franky Falzoni steps up to direct and star alongside his fellow Housos in this highly entertainment and marginally educational stage show recorded live on opening night before a sell out crowd at Sydney's iconic Enmore Theatre.
In a desperate mission of reaching her Mother before she passes away, Shazza approaches the last person in the world and asks for their help - Angry, of the Bikers Gang - who in return uses her dilemma to a lucrative advantage. So, with a soulful of good intentions, four best mates and an unlimited fuel credit card, Shazza drives all the way to Aires Rock. Unfortunately, things don't go to plan, as the zany group of AusChav's get themselves arrested, broadcasted all over Australian television and, to make matters worse, leave Franky to experience some very personal deep probing from an unexpected guest in the desert.

Swinger parties, Crystal, old grudges and dodgy relatives from Melbourne make this the houso road trip from hell.
Franky, Kev and Dazza all need money to keep their de factos off their backs; Dazza tries car jacking while Kev and Franky join Habib in a dodgy insulation scheme. In a strange twist of fate the apartment that’s being insulated is the Mayor of Sunnyvale’s. The not-so-environmentally friendly episode of Housos.
Wazza owes money to the bikies and Dazza needs bail money. Shazza decides to help them by making money working for the bikies, her first job? Delivering a boogie board full of illegal steroids to Asia.
The Housos are in Asia trying to smuggle illegal steroids inside a boogie board. Before they can deliver the goods they are captured by jungle terrorists and are held for ransom. Can the Housos get home to Sunnyvale?
The Sunnyvale Assassins are selling dodgy pay TV boxes, Shazza and Kylie want one desperately so they force Dazza and Franky to get jobs. After a string of failed money making attempts the Housos find out how hard real work can be. Franky decides he would sell his cousin to get hold of free Foxtel. And so he does.
Franky desperately needs a jumping castle for his son Anarchy’s first birthday. He doesn’t know where to steal one so he asks Dazza’s Uncle Doug (Andy McPhee). Doug is fresh out of jail after 29 years. Stolen cop cars and x-rated jumping castles make this a Houso party you don’t want to miss.
It's Dazza’s birthday and everybody helps out in their own way. Shazza steals a pie cake, Franky steals a fire truck and while stealing a council car the Housos discover documents showing the Mayor wants to move the community into the bush so she can build townhouses. Is this the end of the Sunnyvale Housos?
Dazza gets Shazza the best birthday present ever, a voucher to a posh restaurant. Dazza is smug, he traded Beryl’s heart pills for a fancy dinner voucher for Shazza’s birthday – only problem is he can’t remember what he did with it. Dazza, Kev and Franky trace their night back to jolt their memories. Dazza, Shazza and the gang head to the fancy restaurant for an all expenses paid dinner, or will Dazza stuff it up again?
Franky, Kev, Dazza and Reg are sent to maximum security after helping Beryl escape the police. Beryl is arrested for defrauding Centerlink, the Housos riot in protest and while Beryl gets away Franky, Dazza, Kev and Reg are arrested and put in Jail. Shazza and Vanessa are hard up for money while the boys are gone and try new scams to get extra cash. Reg thrives in jail but poor Dazza is hounded by Bubbles who is looking for a girlfriend, Dazza convinces the boys to try and escape.
Dazza joins the bikie gang the ‘Hunterz’ to make Shazza horny. The sex lives of the Housos is under threat. Dazza joins the Hunterz motorcycle gang because Shazza hasn’t been sleeping with him. Franky is caught on camera doing a good deed, he and Kev decide to set-up as ‘Robbing Hood’, getting back stuff for other people for a cut. Being an apprentice bikie and doing dirty ‘jobs’ can be harder than getting a job and the boys are all suffering.
Franky’s favourite Uncle Fred has died but he’s left Franky something special in his will. Uncle Fred taught Franky everything he knows, how to pick up chicks, do thongings, burnouts and graffiti stuff. When Franky gets a call from Pauly at the Fat Pizza shop he finds out Uncle Fred has died and left him something in his will. So Franky and Kev go on a road trip to the desert to see what riches he has inherited.
After taking a drug cocktail and seeing aliens Dazza is committed to a rehab facility. Dazza has been going hard on the drugs and is acting crazy, he is arrested for disturbing the peace and sentenced to rehab. Things are not all sober at rehab though and Dazza is starting to thrive, the junkies bring in drugs, a sex addict is attracted to him and his mates are constantly visiting - with beer. When Dazza gets out though he is a reformed man, no more addictions, or is he?…
A TV show is following Cop Garry and Cop Richard while they try and keep order in Sunnyvale. A reality TV show is riding with Cop Garry and Cop Richard while they trawl through Sunnyvale. The housos are excited to watch themselves on TV but it soon becomes apparent that the show is editing out the truth to make the cops look good and the housos are not happy.

Franky stalls the Centrelink guy in true Franky style, while the girls organise lots of babies and pull the scam of the century.
Franky gets an idea on his brain and scams a free holiday to Japan for Shazza, himself and Abdul. Franky has a mad idea to scam a free holiday from the TV networks. Abdul pretends to be Shazza and Franky’s hairy, mentally challenged, son to gain sympathy. It works and the guys get a free holiday to Tokyo, Japan! Japan is like nothing the housos have ever experienced especially when they are off their faces on drugs.
Shazza, Vanessa and Beryl hatch a plan to make the boys marry them and share their new pensions. Dazza and Kev are cashed up after being declared brain damaged, no longer dependent on their women. Vanessa, Shazza and Beryl hatch a plan to make their men marry them and share benefits. They know the boys wont’ agree so they get them smashed and force proposals. After a massive effort of bribery and theft the girls manage to pull together a ceremony, for that afternoon – before the hangovers wear off!

Franky is immune from COVID-19 due to all the STIs he's had. Shazza prepares for her Zinder date, Franky films a porno in an ambulance, the junkies try out a virus cure, Kev mourns the loss of the footy season and the Housos break into Centerlink in search of pallets of cash.
When the government closes the bottle shops, Franky breaks into the courthouse in search of alcohol for a sober Kev and the other Housos. Franky sneaks Shazza out of the house for essential supples to get her through the lock-down — a new vibrator (and one for Vanessa too). Franky tells the Houses about the Raider of the Lost Dope. Shazza's up the duff to her daughter's boyfriend.
Franky panics when he wakes up next to Shazza's daughter. Holden and Jaydog go out for food for Kev's Hangi. Franky clears the obstruction when Kev clogs the bog then goes into the mountains in search of the junkie's gear. Holden learns she's pregnant.
Franky searches for a new place to stay after getting Holden pregnant (allegedly!). His ex wants him to get her drugs in order to stay with her so Franky and Kev break into Centerlink again. Clearing out the staff's booze and drugs, it's Christmas in July for all the Housos! Little Franky warn Franky against taking the new mandatory vaccine so he takes off with the police in pursuit.

The Premier calls for a national task force to deal with a rash of copycat thong men who are attacking government officials.
Shazza tells Holden about her father, Dazza. Franky goes on an out-of-this-world adventure after he invents a new cocktail by mixing aviation fuel and bourbon. Shazza and Holden get lost in the bush and have a close encounter of their own.
Shazza is called out online and blows up the bus. Franky has regrets about thonging his latest victim. Franky goes off on his criminal mother on Mother's Day. After a long walk, Shazza, Holden and Kev run into Franky at his Thong Warrior castle. Franky thongs an emu.
The Premier approves all unnecessary force to apprehend the Thong Man. Franky returns to Sunnyvale in disguise looking to recover his bitcoin laptop from Reg. Franky is chased by the cops and an angry mob of single mums looking for their child support. A stock market crash takes Franky's bitcoin down with it.
