Hollywood Treasure is a weekly, American, reality television series that began airing on SyFy, October 27, 2010, which follows a Hollywood, California-based appraiser named Joe Maddalena and his team as they track down, appraise and help auction off valuable film, television and pop culture memorabilia.
Joe searches a puppeteer's shed for treasures and finds masks from "Enemy Mine," "James and the Giant Peach" puppets and props from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"; a copy of "The Wizard of Oz" book autographed by the movie cast is discovered; Robbie the Robot ("Forbidden Planet") resurfaces.
Joe finds cyborg heads from "Terminator Salvation" while visiting a warehouse owned by special-effects legend Stan Winston; the roof of a bar may hold an airplane once flown by James Bond; artifacts from RKO Radio Pictures are examined.
A collector wants to buy a "Back to the Future II" prop; items from "2010: A Space Odyssey" and "Star Trek" are featured, along with a painting from Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ride.
