The professional and private lives of the predominantly female staff of the Women's Medical Arts, a progressive clinic with a mandate to breathe new life into the doctor-patient relationship.
Two female doctors, disappointed by hospitals' lack of care for the individual, especially female, start their own clinic for women, where everyone care. This enterprise, however, puts a tremendous pressure on them and their families.
A surrogate mother refuses to give up "her" baby, the clinic needs a new pediatrician and one of the blood donors comes up HIV-positive.
