Harry Enfield's Television Programme was a British sketch show starring Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse. It was first broadcast on BBC Two in 1990 in the Thursday 9 pm slot, which became the traditional time for alternative comedy on television. Enfield was already an established name due to his 'Loadsamoney' character, but the series gave greater presence to his frequent collaborators Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke – so much so, that in 1994 the show was retitled Harry Enfield and Chums.
Christmas comes but once a year, which is enough if you're spending it in the company of the Old Gits, Smashie and Nicey, Mr Don't, and others.
Spoof documentary about Fab FM's most eminent DJs, Dave Nice and Mike Smash. Top pop celebs pay tribute to the 'poptabulous' duo's outstanding contribution to British rock and pop history, and the programme charts their rise to stardom through a series of searching in-depth interviews and rare archive footage from the last 40 years.
This sketch comedy series features Harry Enfield and friends as a host of colorful characters, including the likes of Wayne Slob and Tim Nice-But-Dim.
Tim-Nice-But-Dim attempts to make conversation with a journalist, The Slobs buy a car, and The Old Gits are in typically mean-spirited form.
Has-been DJ’s Smashie and Nicey talk about holidays, mechanics Lee and Lance have an ‘intelligent’ conversation with a funeral director and The Slobs attend their child’s christening.
The Slobs watch football on the TV, plain-speaking Yorkshireman George Whitebread starts a new job, and The Old Gits get burgled.
Tim-Nice-But-Dim irritates a bookshop owner, DJ’s Smashie and Nicey discuss the environment, and The Slobs take a photo.
Brash Yorkshireman George Whitebread tries his hand at being a group therapist, The Old Gits visit a library and The Scousers are bickering, as usual.
The Old Gits win the pools, The Scousers try being nice to each other and Tim-Nice-But-Dim mingles at a buffet.
Comedian Harry Enfield returns for more laughs alongside friends Kathy Burke and Paul Whitehouse, with sketches featuring both old and new characters.
The Old Gits go for a drive, DJ’s Smashie and Nicey discuss their love of Tuesdays, and the social worker visits the Slobs.
The Aliens take English lessons, and end up at a dinner party, the Old Gits try their hand at mugging, and the Slobs do very little. As usual.
The Rugby Players attend a dinner party, the Scousers go on Blind Date and we learn a bit of 1930’s science.
Tim-Nice-But-Dim gets mugged, the Old Gits sabotage one another, and one of the Scousers is getting married.
Waynetta gives birth, Mr Cholmondly Warner presents advertisement breaks, and Smashie and Nicey get promoted.
