Funny Girls follows the professional and personal lives of six female comics in Los Angeles who are climbing their way to the top of the stand-up ladder. While the comediennes differ in their levels of experience, styles of comedy and ultimate career goals, they share the ambition – and the passion – needed to make it in the City of Dreams. From working multiple jobs, to clashing with parents’ expectations, to yet another bad date, the comics provide a fresh, witty perspective on experiences to which young millennial women can relate.

Yamaneika tells Stephanie to get back on the mic after she bombs; Ester tries to book Margaret Cho as her headline.
Swipe Left - Nicole goes on a tinder speed dating adventure. Two guys in one night = bad idea. Yamaneika is sexually thirsty and asks Calise to be her wing woman which causes issues with Reid. Ester and Stephanie finally meet up... tensions are high.
Stephanie takes Yamaneika to Sedona to recharge, but the trip brings Yamaneika’s doubts about comedy to a head. Ester is in a love triangle with two men who have the same name and amazing curly locks. Nicole and Calise get tough love from Loni Love.
Nicole confronts her fears and goes home to Michigan get her mother's approval. Ester and Stephanies's feud is re-ignited at an open mic, while Yamaneika is busy stressing over her first live podcast with Horatio Sanz.
Stephanie gets a surprise meeting with Judd Apatow from her friend Jeaneane Garofolo; Calise receives a job offer in New York; Scout gets Yamaneika ready for her burlesque debut.
