In a refugee camp they meet the Syrian Ayas, who cares about the animals that live there.

In the old zoo of Mosul, Floortje hears the story about bear Lula and lion Simba, who were rescued from the war-torn city in 2017. In the south of Iraq, Floortje and Jasper visit the special swamp area and its inhabitants.
