Meet the Lewises: your average, everyday Manchester family who belong to an ultra-religious order. Oh, and they reckon the world's going to end in the next 10 years.
Dad David desperately tries to get a promotion within the church. But his plans are made difficult by Andrew, his Lycra-clad, holier-than-thou neighbour.
David unearths an ancient religious rulebook and uses it to police his family. But he's not sure how to interpret the decree to 'never boil goats in their own milk'...
Rachel meets a supposedly pious girl at church who changes her perspective on dating. Struggling to get Fiona's attention, David gets date ideas from a sex education class.
Fiona's frustrations with David lead her eyes to wander down the road to Lycra-loving neighbour Andrew, and David's confession about his 'Tupperware of Sin' doesn't help matters.
David takes Aaron to a caravan for some father-son bonding, but there's no electricity and the only running water is leaking through the ceiling. Fiona hosts a girls' night.
At an annual cross-church party, Aaron waits to be baptised. But his head is turned by one congregation carrying rainbow flags. Fiona and Rachel argue over university.
Rachel's drive for independence is threatened by arranged marriage, while cracks widen between David and Fiona. And can Aaron help to drag the Order into the present day?
Rachel returns to the church, where arranged marriage is making a comeback.
David teaches Rachel to drive - which goes about as well as you'd expect.
When the Order finds itself without a church, David offers up the Lewis family home.
The congregation prepare to vote for their new leader. Fiona uses Andrew's election speech as an excuse to flirt, while David's blackmailed into sharing an intimate moment with Maude and her VCR.
Rachel enlists Julia as her 'sex mentor'. Aaron and David break into Samson's house.
David is dealt a devastating blow. But how much is Fiona willing to sacrifice for her man?
