Series following four Year 8 pupils - Billy, Tahj, Emily and Jasmine - as they grapple with everyday life at an extraordinary school. With the voiceover from our narrator, BBC Breakfast's Bill Turnbull, adding some wonderfully unnecessary gravitas to the proceedings. Memorable characters, repeatable catchphrases and laugh-out-loud comedy combine to create a unique, funny new series.
Pupils Billy, Tahj, Emily and Jasmine, arrive for the first day of Year 8, but Dockbridge High isn't like every other secondary school. Far from it.
It's the first day of a new term at Dockbridge High and the two deputy heads can't agree on anything.
Mr Christopher demonstrates his musical talent, Miss Franks teaches the class "practical French", and Miss Bolton proves her ability in just about every sport imaginable.
Shakespeare Day proves eventful as the staff at Dockbridge High adopt unorthodox methods to get the students excited about Shakespeare. Meanwhile, Mr Nasal has developed a crush on Miss Spray.
Mrs Mark shows blatant favoritism towards her son Mark, Miss Dior-Durant inflicts her taste in fashion onto unsuspecting parents, and Miss Franks struggles to communicate with Tahj's mum.
It's announced that the school will be visited by a surprise VIP guest, for which Mr Christopher choreographs a Cats-inspired performance, Miss Flip unveils a prized sculpture, and Mr Oakley carves a chair from a single piece of oak.
Mr Windlow sets the class yet another difficult business task, Mr Capp is caught graffitiing the walls, and Mr Konnundrum uses maths to describe a "hypothetical" scenario in which a man is sold a snake by another man on a bus.
Site manager Dave sets out to catch a pigeon that has snuck into the school, Sir Stanley Bleacher encourages the class to act by embodying the characteristics of birds, and Miss Pinkham hosts a charity auction in aid of "endangered stuff".
The staff at Dockbridge High are in a state of panic during the school's Ofsted inspection. Mrs Tucker accidentally reveals her stash of pies in the cafeteria, and Mr Schofield offers a once in a lifetime opportunity in General Studies.
Miss Davis starts a breakfast club with unpleasant results, Whizz Pinkham teaches cycling proficiency, and Mr Window gathers "Team Thrust" to discuss the results of their most recent business assignment.
Mr Konnundrum has some issues with his alarm clock, Mr Hart overreacts when Martin has a cough, and the school trip the class has been looking forward to is canceled when the school bus breaks down.
In the midst of exams, Miss Goldfish covers English despite her memory issues, Miss Openshaw uses her call-center experience to cover Product Design, and Mr Nasal and Miss Spray enjoy a romantic date in the cafeteria.
Miss Flip enlists the students' help in tidying up the classroom at the end of term, Mr Christopher announces his departure, and Miss Davis finally catches on to the foul odors she emits in her classroom.
The cast take on Year 9, hoping for a change... but it's still the same Dockbridge High, with the same wild teachers!
Miss Kinder is repeatedly mistaken for a student, Miss Fun-With-Numbers takes on a patronizing approach to maths, and Mark has gotten himself a girlfriend over the summer, much to the disapproval of Mrs Mark.
Mrs Hackvinda has employed Mr Capp's help to obtain the latest video game release, Mrs Windstone is unforgiving when it comes to overdue library books, Mr Rhomb has a strangely abstract view on art, and Mr Christopher has been promoted.
Nits are plaguing the school, and it's up to Mr Hart, Martin, and the Nit Nurse to fight the outbreak. Miss Presto prioritizes showing the class her magic tricks over teaching, and Kev struggles with the difference between push and pull.
The passing of Mr Barker leaves a vacancy for a new headteacher, prompting the arrival of child-repulsed Hillary Head. Mr Christopher teaches a lesson on trust, and Mr Barrowboy challenges the students to create a dish in under a minute.

Career advisor Miss Dropitt advises the students one by one to quit following their dreams and settle for a "realistic" goal...like a career advisor. Meanwhile, Mark sends Mrs Mark to isolation, and Miss Dior-Durrant takes up vlogging.
There's a messy intruder in the school and site manager Dave is determined to catch them.
Mr Nasal suffers the consequences of his unfounded jealousy.
The staff and pupils prepare for the school photo, but the photographer is MIA.

It's World Book Day and the Dockbridge High staff are very excited about showing off their costumes. Mrs Mark, Mr Capp and Joy all share their favourite books whilst Mr Christopher celebrates the greatest book of all time - his autobiography.
New teaching assistant Mr Nappy discovers that being in a school and taking care of three babies doesn't mix. Billy brings his mum into school. Miss Davis shows off her wind instrument in music.
There's a leak in the roof above Hilary Head's office so she forces the whole school to get involved in raising money to fix it. Mr Christopher releases a charity single and Mark chooses to do a sponsored silence but finds it harder than expected when Billy embarrasses him in front of Marcella.
Now set in Quayside Academy, surely the teachers must be better behaved. Well, if that's a bet you wanna take, then you owe me a fiver, mate.
