Max, Ted and Elphie are three recruits who are learning how to become real members of the rescue services in the City Of Friends.
Max is training call-outs and high speed chases at the Police station, whilst Martin, Mia and Jumpi are playing with a ball. Jumpi kicks the ball and it flies down the road, causing havoc in the city. Raffe alerts Frankie and his crew of the potential fire danger and Elphie discovers that there is no fire, and that the problem is caused by the missing ball.
