Inspired by real incidents and based on a book Cages by Abid Surti - Chidiya Udd is a story of struggle and fighting all odds told from the eyes of the protagonist, a 20-year-old Seher, who hails from Rajasthan. We follow her journey to Mumbai with a dream of making it in the big city. Set against the backdrop of gang wars and a dark underbelly of crime, will Seher survive Bombay?
Seher flees to Mumbai after a fight with Rana. She crashes an auction in Kamathipura, run by Resham and Habiba. Amid chaos over missing Neeti, Seher seizes her chance to present herself, defying Raju's earlier refusal.
Seher saves Neeti from Akram's men but is shot. Baburao wins auction. Dr. Anand treats Seher, warns her to flee. Suraiyya caught escaping village. Quadir bribes Inspector Satpute. Seher's fate hangs in balance.
Akram hunts Seher. Dhananjay tortures Suraiyya for Seher's whereabouts. Baburao meets Ivy in Bangkok, plans to meet Chao Fa. Seher finds ally in Sattar. Raju bribes Inspector Satpute to eliminate Seher.
Police raid brothels for Seher. Dhananjay torments Suraiyya as Rana's health worsens. Seher escapes, accidentally kills Gafoor. Champa sells Seher to Habiba. Quadir favors Akram in lane distribution, angering Baburao post-Thailand trip.
