The first season of Canada's Drag Race was officially announced via World of Wonder's Instagram on June 27, 2019. The show aired on CraveCanada, OutTV, and select territories on WOW Presents Plus. This season features contestants competing for the title of "Canada’s First Drag Superstar", a cash prize of $100,000 CAD, a crown and sceptre from Amped Accessories and a year's worth of holiday stays with Hilton.
