Mitchel, a mild-mannered suburban stockbroker spirals out of control after losing his job, finding his wife in flagrante with a sleazy neighbour, and discovering his dad is dying of cancer, all on the eve of his 44th birthday.
It's Mitchell's 40th birthday and he's miserable. His daughter's leaving home, he's been fired, and there's no happiness in his life. Then he catches his wife in the act with his sleazy neighbor.
After walking out on Mandy and Nic, Mitchel puts all his efforts into finding a cure for his for his ailing faither, unaware of his parents' suicide pact.
