Bob Martin is a British situation comedy. Its concept bears significant resemblance to The Larry Sanders Show. Michael Barrymore is its principal actor. It was made by Granada for the ITV network from 2 April 2000 to 4 June 2001.
Bob Martin, the host of the successful TV quiz-show Quickfire, decides that he wants to become the host of the Eurovision Song Contest.
In an attempt to launch himself on the celebrity circuit, Bob and the team decide he should throw a showbiz party.
After losing at another awards ceremony, Bob decides his show needs star attractions.
Much to Vinnie's annoyance, Timmy gets on particularly well with show guest Dani Behr.

One of the lighting crew dies, and there are arguments about how to mark his passing. Bob is asked to give an oration at the funeral, and shows that he has a sensitive side after all.
Bob is feeling stressed, and guest Darren Day helps him deal with it. Meanwhile, the other guest, Eric Richard is very unwell, and there is a frantic rush to replace him at the last minute.
Bob decides to dispense with his ghostwriter and write his memoirs himself, but finds that his memories and anecdotes don't match others' recollections.
An otherwise unpromising weekend holds a surprise for Bob when his ex, Lesley, drops by for a visit. Meanwhile, Vinnie and Beverley spend the weekend together.
