Alcock and Gander is a British sitcom that aired on ITV in 1972. Starring Beryl Reid and Richard O'Sullivan, it lasted for one series. It was written by Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke, who later wrote Man About the House, where O'Sullivan was the lead male character. It was made for the ITV network by Thames Television.
When an office crisis arises and Mrs Alcock has need of the services of a safebreaker, 'Fingers' comes to her aid.
Marigold purchases a military surplus 2-way radio and decides to start a mini-cab company. A minor problem is that they don't have a cab. They purchase a low-priced car, but Ernest proves to be a very unreliable driver.
Marigold buys a large number of ladies' Wellington boots at an overstock sale and schemes to resell them at a nice profit. However, she encounters a pitfall or two on her way to making the money.
