The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is a TVB television series, premiered on 1 September 1979. Theme song "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" composition and arrangement by Joseph Koo, lyricist by Tang Wai Hung, sung by Teresa Cheung.


CHING WAI is a university graduate. At a football match, he meets with his fellow school-mate HAY WAN. They both fall for each other and gradually develop into lovers. WAI later finds out that WAN is the daughter of the FONG's family who owns the jewellery company where his father is working at. TSAN, WAI's younger brother, has successfully sneaked into Hong Kong from China. They are happy to have a family reunion.

YUEN is the godson of the Director of the FONG's jewellery company, HING WAN. He now returns to Hong Kong from Vietnam after the FONG's winded up their business there with the downfall of Saigon. He is a mean and ambitious young man. He plans to snatch the FONG's family business into his own hand step by step. HING WAN's daughter KUN meets him at the airport.
