The story opens with the murder of businessman Faisal Muthanna, ruled a homicide likely perpetrated by someone who wanted to rob him of his wealth. Elsewhere, Samir, a despairing tailor and taxi driver, reunites with his friend Yazen after years of war separated them.

Yazen decides to open a tailor workshop with Samir to compensate for his job loss but Manal, Samir's wife, has her doubts about Yazan's true intentions. During his murder investigations, Khaldoun uncovers secrets and scandals involving important public figures.

Samir discovers a secret that Manal has been keeping from him, which goes towards his suspicions of her cheating on him. Khaldoun decides to reopen the murder case of the "Arab Star" singer Rand after discovering a secret relationship between her and Muthanna.

Yazen gambles with the money for the business venture and loses everything. Regretful, he reaches out to his lover Rehab for funds. Samir learns Rehab is in a relationship with Abdul Mohsen and believes she will not help. He tells Yazen who becomes blinded by jealously.

Although his financial problems are solved, Samir now battles with a guilty conscious. This leads to conflict with Yazen who reassures him that all will be fine as long as the body is not recovered. Manal, however, suspects Samir has something to hide.

The police launch a rigorous investigation on discovering Abdul Mohsen’s body and Yazen urges Samir to flee the country. Samir heads to a small village near the Lebanese border where his father lives. Their troubled relationship forces Samir to confront his past.
