The Simple Life is an American reality television series. The series aired from December 2, 2003 to August 5, 2007. The first three seasons aired on Fox, and the final two on E!. The series depicts two wealthy socialites, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, as they struggle to do manual, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants and working as camp counselors.
"The Can Opener" is a season special episode from the reality television show, Simple Life (2003). In the episode, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie find themselves living with the Leding family in Altus, Arkansas. During their stay, the girls are tasked with various household chores, one of which includes using a manual can opener to open cans of food for dinner. The episode highlights the stark difference between the pampered lives of the celebrities and the simpler, more rural lifestyle of the Ledings. It aired during the Billboard Music Awards in December, 2004.
The girls move into the farm where we meet their hosts, the Ledding family. They freak out over chicken plucking and the enormous tick in their bedroom overtop a well. The dad lays down the rules but when have the Hiltons ever obeyed them? And both girls decide the oldest son deserves a little reminder of this trip.....
Paris and Nicole learn what it means to work for a living when they get their first jobs -- milking cows at Danny's Dairy Farm.
Fresh off their failure as dairy-farm workers, the girls take a job at a fast-food joint, only to find that serving the public is their private nightmare.
To get the town to know them better Paris and Nicole (with the help of the mayor) become co-chairman of the annual town festival--obviously things do not go well. Plus, Paris gets her dog certified over at the town hall, making sure the dog is healthy.
The girls work for this cattle auctioneer. He has them go to the feed store to pick up some feed. Nicole decides to charge a few extra things to his account. A folding mirror and a $120 birdhouse to give to the lady they are staying with for Mother's Day. The man finds out and comes to talk to them.
The ladies get jobs at a gas station-food mart (and bait shop), and soon reel in two local boys as customers, whom they'll accompany to a club. In so doing, they'll stay out beyond their curfew, and in a number of ways they'll pay.
In the finale, the girls are prodded to pack their pricey bags after Nicole's barroom hissy finally gets Janet's goat. Not that they've been model citizens anyway. Having insulted locals and avoided labor since day one, it's a safe bet that few folks will be missing Misses Richie and Hilton once they're gone.

Survivalist camp begins at Camp Shawnee, and Paris and Nicole must learn how to rough it in the wilderness. The campers are put to the test by eating bugs, using knives and starting their own fires. Survivalist camp proves too hard for one camper and another develops a crush on Myke Hawke.
Paris and Nicole's 'survival' skills are put to the test when they become lost in the woods. Survival camp draws to a close and the campers and Myke have an interesting send off.
Acting camp begins at Camp Shawnee. Paris and Hunter develop their relationship. Sally Kirkland joins Camp Shawnee and has some interesting teaching techniques and lessons to share with the campers. Nicole and Paris have a few run-in's with Sally.
The finale draws the girls time at Camp Shawnee to a close. They end their time a Camp Shawnee with 'Paris and Nicole The Muscial' and a suprise for camp director Ed.
