Група з шести студентів ось-ось розпочне найзахопливіший період свого життя: навчання в університеті!
From the moment they first meet, JP, Kingsley, Josie, Howard, Vod and Oregon are destined to be housemates. Away from home for the first time, on the brink of adult life, the new students are about to discover who they really are as they run the whole gamut of appalling behaviour and terrible errors of judgment familiar to anyone who's ever experienced one of life's great rites of passage.
Public schoolboy JP, insecure Kingsley, wide-eyed Josie, socially awkward know-it-all Howard, hard-living Vod and desperate-to-be-cool Oregon embark on the most exciting period of their lives so far.
The housemates are in social Siberia so they decide to throw a party, spearheaded by Josie in the hope that she and Kingsley will get together, but her plans are scuppered by her boyfriend!
Oregon and Prof Shales's flirtation reaches bizarre new levels when he pays her to clean his oven. And enticed by Ruth the alluring drama queen, Kingsley rashly switches courses to drama.
Kingsley is forced to confess to Josie that he is a virgin, and she offers to 'cure' him. But the deal is undercut when Kingsley unexpectedly winds up having sex with drama queen Ruth.
Vod finds out about Oregon's affair with Shales, while Kingsley is pursuing Ruth at a student demo when they get kettled with Josie, and Kingsley's two-timing is exposed.
Oregon is distraught to learn that her childhood horse is dying, culminating in the revelation that she isn't called Oregon at all, but Melissa.
Oregon resolves to break off her affair with Professor Shales, but he wrong-foots her by leaving his wife and turning up on her doorstep. Brian begs Howard to resume their friendship.
Josie embarks on a 'girl power' booze and sex fest with help from Vod. JP helps Ralph organise the Love Cloud club night but it clashes with his dad's funeral.
JP, Kingsley, Josie, Howard, Vod and Oregon are returning to Hartnell Avenue this term a little bit older but not much wiser, but this term there is a new housemate to be found...
It's a new term. Kingsley has a new image. Josie turns over a new leaf. JP's friend Giles has transferred from Exeter. Vod's skint and it's time to find a replacement for invisible flatmate Paul Lamb.
A spate of muggings on campus leave the gang concerned about their safety, while JP is confined to his bed with mumps. Kingsley makes an announcement that leaves Josie reeling.
A geology careers fair sets the boys against each other as they battle for lucrative internships. Oregon is thrown together with Tony again, as she attempts to secure funding for her new magazine.
It's the Easter break and JP invites the gang to stay at his country house, but it's not as idyllic as it seems...
Things go from bad to worse when Josie makes a catastrophic error of judgement. A chance encounter leads Oregon to fall for a sexy librarian, JP makes a 'local' friend, Vod falls in love and Howard turns detective in a bid to catch an intruder.
Spurred on by a righteous sense of getting-his-money's-worth, Kingsley makes an official complaint, but when a field trip goes awry, things come to a head for him and JP.
At an open mic gig at the Student Union, Kingsley performs a song written by Blur's Graham Coxon. And Vod gatecrashes a poetry seminar by the renowned poet John Frobisher.
The end of the academic year is coming close and with it is the need for the housemates to make some huge decisions. Josie has to decide what to do with her life. Kingsley finds himself moving in to a one-bedroom flat with Heather, before some old feelings re-emerge just when he least expects them. Sabine manages to blow Howard's mind with her news. Oregon's relationship with Dylan comes to a head at Jean Shales' book launch.
JP, Kingsley, Josie, Howard, Vod and Oregon are all back in Hartnell Avenue and raring to go. JP is promptly throwing himself, head first, into a second year ceremonial mission to f*ck a fresher; accompanied somewhat willingly but not altogether skilfully by his faithful wing-man, Howard. Meanwhile there’s a brand new housemate in the form of genuine fresher and smoking fine filly, Candice. Home schooled and as yet unsullied by student-dom this first year is about to make an impact on the rest of the house, as they set out to show her just how cool they really are. There’s also another fresh face in the mix as Vod brings back more than everyone bargained for from her travels, in the shape of her new Mexican beefcake lover Javier. Kingsley, bless his cottons, is experiencing life as an unlikely lothario as he continues to juggle double women trouble which brings us to Josie… Josie may be down in Southampton, slightly disembodied, but in full HD via the technological wonders of an iPad- the question is for how long?
Howard and JP try to coax some female freshers to join their dry-slope skiing society, while Vod's summer fling turns up unexpectedly. And the gang go to visit Josie in Southampton where she's now studying. But her traffic-light party creates a few problems for Kingsley.
Vod comes up with a plan to get rid of her holiday romance. Howard likes a girl but JP thinks she's out of his league, so he tries to poach her in order to restore the natural order of things.
Realising how serious Javier has become since their wedding, Vod tries to dump him, but it's not that simple...
Having been rejected by Sam for cheating in the quiz, JP makes it his mission to win her back.
Vod announces that her mum is coming to stay and, when she arrives, she is not what anybody expected.
The housemates get radical as they participate in a university sit-in which Oregon has organized to demonstrate against the forced deportation of a hot Tunisian guy.
Word gets out that it's Howard's birthday, and Candice insists they throw him a party. Unfortunately, not everyone sees the gathering in quite the same terms.
Following last week's party some relationships and friendships are on the rocks. Oregon battles it out against Vod in the Student Union elections. Josie and Kingsley reach an unusual arrangement to overcome their relationship issues. Howard realises that it's now or never with Candice.
In the fourth and final series, the end of University life is drawing closer and when JP’s brother pays an unexpected visit, it’s a wakeup call for all the housemates. JP is told it’s time to knuckle down as there’s a job waiting for him in the city. But is he made of the right stuff? Vod is wrestling with a debt that could sink a small Euro state, while Oregon, now Student Union President, plans her legacy and bright shinny future. Kingsley, desperate to seem interesting, finds himself in an unconventional relationship, while Howard is headed for a First Class degree, until some unexpected news sends him spiralling. And poor 2nd year Josie faces the prospect of being without her friends next year.
The housemates are nearing the end of their university lives, but before they face some hard-core studying, JP plans one last big blowout.
Vod gets a job in a pub, and the others expect her to give them free drinks. Oregon creates a poetry prize in her own honour, and Kingsley discovers Rosa has an 18-year-old son.
It's dissertation time, and while Vod is having a last-minute wobble about her abilities, Oregon has other 'presidency' things on her mind and Josie is having an identity crisis.
Oregon's glittering future looks seriously under threat, and things aren't going well for Josie either. Howard is working on his CV, and Kingsley and Vod take over the grad ball.
The finals are fast approaching and things are falling apart.Tickets for the alternative grad ball Vodstock are selling well, but Vod may be promising things she can't deliver.
The finals are over and the results are in, but not everyone's happy. Will the housemates host the best grad ball of all time or will they have to flee Manchester in the night?
