Vernon Brownmule, aka "Burnin' Vernon," is a scandal-ridden, washed-up, one-hit-wonder who was kicked out of country music, only to emerge 20 years later as the second best Elvis impersonator around. After crashing into an old country church sign during a drunken bender, he is arrested and sentenced to return and serve as the church's handyman as part of his parole. Along the way, he pretends to be the congregation's new minister and reconnects with a former one-night-stand, when he learns he has a 15-year-old daughter he's never met.
Vernon Brown, is sentenced to community service after crashing his car into a church. Cyrus instead pretends to be the new pastor of the church, and somehow finds out he has a 15-year-old daughter he’s never met.
Charlotte is furious when she discovers Vernon has been posing as a preacher but agrees to keep quiet... in return for a favor. Walt and Curtis team up to catch the perp when the church is vandalized.
Vernon attempts to steal a guitar from Kenny Chesney's (or other star cameo) tour bus but is stopped by a Roadie that recognizes him. Vernon plays it off and the roadie invites him to the concert. Vernon takes Walt and Charlotte to the show. When the seats are less that desirable, he devises a plan to sneak them backstage. Walt and Charlotte make it but Vernon is escorted out. Kenny recognizes him and lets him stay, giving him a tour of his glamorous backstage areas -throwing Vernon's failures in his face. Kenny invites him up for a duet, and Vernon gets a taste of fame again, eating up the attention. Debbie feels guilty and takes Ronnie out to his favorite restaurant. Afterwards, they go fake hot tub shopping at Watson's pools and spas, and Debbie finds out Pamela has been fired as the spokes model, creating an opening for her dream job.
Newly released from prison, Vernon Brown helps Debbie plan a wake for Ronnie.
Vernon and Ronnie go head to head over which one will be the man of the house.
After growing sick of their antics around the house, Debbie demands Vernon and Ronnie find jobs.
Vernon's hometown honors him with a statue of his likeness and Vernon doesn't approve how it looks; Vernon recruits Walt, Charlotte and Doily to "fix" the statue.
Vernon readies his band for a big gig he doesn't have booked yet.
Vernon and Walt are forced to attend a parolee and parole officer team building weekend with Doily.
Vernon goes on a fake date with a former child actress to give her some bad girl cred; Debbie takes a hungover Charlotte to work to teach her a lesson.
Vernon and Trayne spend the day together as Trayne researches Vernon's character for a TV movie about his exploits.
When Vernon sees Trayne's portrayal of him in the TV movie, he and Walt set out to sabotage the production.
Vernon scores a gig at a Predators hockey game, and Ronnie uses the occasion to propose to Debbie.
Vernon fills in for an absent Ronnie and spends the day helping Debbie plan for her upcoming wedding.
Much to his chagrin, Vernon discovers his manager has given his new single to another recording artist to perform.
It's Debbie and Ronnie's big wedding day! When Debbie's water breaks on the altar, Vernon races against the clock to be there for the birth.
