The story of Saverio Barone, a young prosecutor who in the early nineties became the protagonist of the “caccia alla Mafia” (Mafia-hunt) immediately following the Capaci and Via D'Amelio bombings. Inspired by the true story of the anti-Mafia magistrate Alfonso Sabella.
A young magistrate makes the decision to denounce his boss after suspecting him of collusion with the underworld. Meanwhile, the Corleone mafia feels the increasing threat of former members.
Saverio is entrusted with a new task: to travel to Switzerland in order to recover millions of dollars.
Saverio manages to obtain the investigation of his first fugitive, Mico Farinella, but in eight months the research does not produce any results. Meanwhile, Tony Calvaruso is involved in the sale of some apartments.
Saverio manages to get back on the trail of Mico Farinella, with the support of Carabinieri. After months of waiting, the leads in the investigation are finally starting to link together and point to the Madonie boss.
