Laramie is an American Western television series that aired on NBC from 1959 to 1963. A Revue Studios production, the program originally starred John Smith as Slim Sherman, Robert Fuller as Jess Harper, Hoagy Carmichael as Jonesy and Robert L. Crawford, Jr., as Andy Sherman.
A gunfighter comes to Laramie and picks up his mail in care of GENERAL DELIVERY to see who he has been hired to kill.Jess knows him and confronts him to see who he was hired to kill.He is injured on the Sherman ranch and Andy tries to reform him.
Slim Sherman's in love with June Brown, a winsome stranger. But Jess recognizes the girl --- as a professional blackjack dealer.
Jess's first act after hiring on as a deputy is to let murder suspect Harry Markle escape.
Slim and Jess help a family group of entertainers from Japan traveling east when their wagon breaks down. They have found a boy Mike whose parents were killed my Indians. A trio of men are following the troupe thinking they have opium.
Slim, Jess and Sheriff Corey shoot down an outlaw, who turns out to be a teenager. When the townspeople learn that their sheriff has been shooting children, they think it's time to replace him.
