The lambing season is full of challenges this year as Kelvin goes through a devastating loss when a three-day-old lamb breaks its leg, while the pigs to go to auction, but will Kelvin make a return on his investment with prices at an all-time low? Elsewhere, Liz tries to get hands-on with the cows and the twins head out to explore blossoming bluebells as the season changes.

The farm opens up to the public for an Easter event that is Liz and Kelvin's chance to bring in more income, while there is drama in the lambing shed when a vet attends to a ewe struggling to give birth. It's time to train the cows and get them used to being on head collars as Kelvin enters them into the Royal Cheshire Show, and Marnie and Milo learn about the important role of hedgerows on the farm.

The family gather in their flock of sheep as they carry out a worming treatment that involves a rather smelly job, and Kelvin invites a leading chef to view his pigs in the hope he will buy pork for his award-winning restaurant. Marnie and Milo go exploring in the barns and discover some bat boxes, while Liz and Kelvin have a go at working with sheepdogs.

It's summer and Kelvin has his first go at using a pair of clippers to shear his sheep, but it doesn't go to plan when the battery dies as he's only halfway through one of the flock. Milo helps repair a dry stone wall, and Kelvin joins in with a charity bike ride to raise awareness and funds to support farmers in crisis.

The big day arrives as the Fletchers compete in the Royal Cheshire Show with their cows Cherry and Sonic, but with only four weeks of cow ownership under their belts, how well will they do? Marnie's calf starts playing up as he becomes overwhelmed by the noise of the crowd, while Milo enters the young handler contest, and emotions are high for Kelvin and Liz as the show comes to a close.

Alongside the food and drink on offer, the first Fletcher beef is on sale and is proving popular. But the livestock still needs their attention too, as young tup Kelvin is limping, while tragedy hits the farm when a cow is stuck down by pneumonia.

Winter delivers a blanket of snow across the Peak District, so Liz and Kelvin brave the elements to check on their livestock and make sure they're all well fed and watered. Marnie and Milo also get stuck into jobs around the farm and find fun in even the muckiest of jobs, while after a day of graft the whole family is rewarded with sledging fun.

It's scanning time on the farm and the family are about to find out whether their three male tups have earned their keep and got the ewes in lamb, with all four children are on hand to help. Liz and Kelvin turn to their socials to drum up interest in their first farmers market, Marnie makes a decision on what prime cuts she wants to sell, and Milo helps his dad load up the Jacob sheep that are heading for the butcher.

Kelvin, Liz and the kids celebrate the end of winter by hosting their very first farmers market, with people buying products from local artisans and producers, as well as the Fletchers' own wares. Marnie's lamb shack proves to be a big hit with customers queuing to be served, and Liz and Kelvin make plans to host something on a regular basis.
