A Syrian-Lebanese drama series produced in 2015, adapted from the novel "Ain al-Jawza", directed by Naji Ta'mi, written by Ibrahim Fadlallah, and starring Asaad Fadda and Abdel Majid Majzoub. It premiered on June 19, 2015.


Saeed ordered Amin and the men to treat the people of Ain al-Jawza harshly. The child Abis and his family suffer from poverty and hunger. Saeed asks Abu Abis to give up his land to him. The French become stricter with the people of the village after Saeed incites them against them.

Amin informs Sheikh Musa of Saeed’s decision to forcibly seize half of the farmers’ crop, and Mahmoud Abu Abis attacks Amin because of his harassment of his wife. Mahmoud hides in the mountain to escape from Saeed and his men.

Amin asks the village headman to expel Mahmoud's family from the village. Abis escapes from Amin, who tried to catch him. Amin is surprised by Saeed's fear of Musa despite his power, and Musa pledges to protect Abis and his father's land.

Umm Abis asks Mahmoud to marry another woman, while Sheikh Musa seeks to secure Mahmoud's return to the village. Saeed becomes angry after his crop is burned, and Mahmoud is sentenced to death in absentia.

Sheikh Musa takes care of Mahmoud’s family in his absence, and Amin sows doubts in the village that Abis and Mahmoud are the ones who burned Saeed’s crop, and Amin kills one of the resistance men during a clash with a French soldier.

Abis becomes a strong, muscular young man, still grieving the absence of his father. He becomes attached to Nasma, the sister of his friend Nizar, and seeks to join the resistance against them and against Saeed.

Amin, the head of the police station, incites Nasir against the villagers and warns him against going out in a demonstration. Abis confronts Amin and prevents him from attacking the men of the village. A number of the village youth are arrested, and Abis and Hamza storm the prison and smuggle them out.

Nassir rebels against his soldiers after the young men of the village flee, and Saeed is terrified upon hearing the news. The men hide in the mountain, and General Luban gets angry and blames Saeed, and threatens and warns Musa - the village headman.

Musa asks the youth to resist the occupation and not to attack any prisoner. Nasma goes up the mountain with food for the resistance youth, and the French forces attack the mountain.

The French campaign returns to its positions and puts the detainees in the camp, while Abis and the men plan to deliver a crushing blow to the French, and Amin plants a spy among the ranks of the resistance, and the detainees refuse to confess the whereabouts of the resistance youth.

Youssef, the traitor who transmits news of the resistance to the occupation, is exposed, and the resistance arrests a high-ranking French officer.

Luban refuses to release the prisoners, and Saeed convinces him to compromise with the resistance, claiming that Abis is the leader of that resistance. Nasser is released from detention and tells Mansour that his brother Ibrahim was tortured in detention. Amin asks Mansour to complete his marriage to his daughter.

The resistance youth refuse to hand Abis over to the French, Amin marries Mansour’s daughter, and Abis decides to leave the village and search for his father so that Lopin can release the detainees.

Abis bids farewell to his mother to search for his father and asks Nasma not to wait for him, but she clings to him. Youssef feels remorse for his cooperation with the French forces, and Abis saves Wahdan from death after Wahdan is subjected to a conspiracy by the young men of his village, Mutab and Sarhan.

Umm Abis is in crisis and hides the matter from Sheikh Musa and from her going down to work in the field. Amin returns from a trip and learns the news of Abis’s departure, and Ibrahim rebels against his treacherous brother Yusuf.

Saeed Bey becomes enraged after the warehouse and its contents are burned, and Abis mediates for Tahnoon in his request to marry the daughter of Sheikh Saafan. Abu Ibrahim and his family return to the village, and Amin tells Saeed about a peasant uprising. Abis arrives in Acre in search of his father.

Mahmoud sees Abis in the market and thinks he knows him. Sheikh Musa gathers the men of the village and plans to build a school in the village. The Bey Saeed's warehouses are burned again.

Things get tense in Ain El Wadi, and Abis meets with the young men. Loban and Saeed decide to let Abis return so that he can be under their watchful eyes. Mahmoud decides to return to the village to meet his son, and he returns on the day of Abis’s wedding to Nasma.

Abis marries Nasma, and celebrations are held in Ain al-Jawza. Mahmoud meets with Sheikh Musa and tells him about his time away from the village and his escape from the occupation forces. Amin informs Saeed of Mahmoud's return to the village.

Saeed is angry at Mahmoud’s escape and accuses him of burning his crops. Abis learns of the French recruiting some young men from neighboring villages, and Sheikh Musa warns Saeed against any action against the villagers. Mahmoud is arrested, and Abis and the young men free him.

The Mukhtar refuses to hide the resistance youth, and a bloody confrontation takes place between the French forces and the resistance youth. The resistance sends a warning of revenge against Said and Amin for their cooperation with the French, and the general attacks Sheikh Ismail.

Abis hides the news of Sheikh Ismail's martyrdom from his brother Hamza, warns the Mukhtar (the general) of the resistance's revenge, Hamza decides to attack the camp, the village women threaten the Mukhtar, and Sheikh Musa's condition worsens.

Amin asks the Mukhtar to convince the resistance to end its operations against the occupier. Hamza attacks the camp, followed by the resistance youth. Reinforcements arrive for the occupation forces, and the Mukhtar fears the resistance will take revenge on him, Saeed, and Amin.

The resistance youth attack and seize the crop stores, and Luban and Saeed go crazy. Sheikh Musa asks the villagers to hide the food supplies from the occupation forces, and Mahmoud decides to return to Ain al-Jawza and join the resistance.

Mahmoud joins the resistance, and the resistance fighters attack the French camp. The head of the police station, Nassir, flees. The resistance triumphs in the Battle of Ain al-Jawza. Said kills Amin and flees the village. Lupin goes mad.
