In the final days of the One Year War, a Zeon special forces group infiltrates a colony to gather information on a new Gundam unit. Alfred Izuhara, a 10-year-old student, befriends Zeon rookie pilot Bernie Wiseman during a brief mobile suit combat. Meanwhile, Al meets up with Christina MacKenzie, his former neighbor and babysitter. Little does he know that not only is Christina a member of the Earth Federation, she's the test pilot of the new Gundam NT-4 prototype.
On the colony of Side 6, 11-year-old Alfred Izuruha messes around in school with his friends during lunch. As Al walks home, he bumps into his old friend Christina MacKenzie, who had moved to Earth years before.
Al takes pictures of the damaged Zaku and sees the pilot pointing a gun at him.
Al holds on to Garcia's truck as it drives through the city.
Al sneaks through the conduit back to Bernie and tells him he got pictures of a Federation mobile suit.
Killing is informed that Operation Rubicon has failed and that the Gundam is still in Side 6.
Al and Bernie repair the damaged Zaku to fight the Alex Gundam.
