Ko's new companion, Nazuna, could offer him dark gifts and a vampire's immortality. But there are conditions that Ko must meet before he can sink his teeth into vampirism, and he'll discover just how far he's willing to go to satisfy his desires.

Kou Yamori is a middle school student who struggles with grasping the complex concept of love. Plagued with insomnia due to his idleness, Kou begins roaming the lonesome streets at night. One night, Kou encounters a bizarre girl named Nazuna Nanakusa who believes that people stay awake during the night because they are dissatisfied with how they spent their day and cannot rest until they release their inhibitions. Nazuna offers to help Kou with his sleep issues and invites him over to her place, where she convinces him to share a futon with her. Feeling uncomfortable, Kou only pretends to doze off—which is when Nazuna suddenly bites his neck, revealing herself to be a vampire! While Kou thinks the bite will turn him into a vampire, the specifics of transforming are not that simple. In order to change, he must be bitten by someone he truly loves. Ready to let go of his dreary mortal life, Kou decides on a new goal: he will fall in love with Nazuna and become a vampire himself.

A chance encounter with a stranger introduces Ko to a nocturnal life. Ko follows her and why shouldn’t he? The night is still young.

How can you fall in love with a vampire when you can’t even track them down!? Nazuma remains frustratingly elusive, but Ko may have a nostalgic solution to this new problem.

When can you start calling someone a friend? What even IS friendship, anyway? As Ko reconnects with a classmate, questions arise he isn’t sure he knows how to answer.
Three’s a crowd when Ko invites Akira to hang out with him and Nazuna late one evening.

How does Nazuna make money, anyway? Ko is about to get the inside scoop on her (very suspicious) business, but first he’ll need to make sense of his complicated emotions.

Ko doesn’t need a mirror to see his reflection. It’s staring right back at him in the form of Nazuna’s latest client.

Boredom drove Ko into the night. Boredom drove Ko’s new acquaintance to killing time in her own way. She and Ko seem very similar… perhaps TOO similar for comfort.

Ko thought he had all the time in the world, but the revelation of an unexpected deadline changes everything. Hopefully his friends (new and old alike) will have some advice.

Seri is extremely popular, but popularity isn’t all it’s cracked up to be when one of her human paramours develops feelings she isn’t ready to deal with.
It’s not all sparkles and hearts at the maid café where Midori works. Someone is creeping on a certain maid, but uncovering the interloper isn’t as easy as it looks…
Nazuna needs new blood for her cuddle-buddy business, and Ko is on the case! But he’s not the only one wandering the night looking for someone…

What does it mean to be a vampire? Why does Ko want to become one? A chat with a friend reveals Ko’s lack of answers to these all-important questions.

The night feels distant. Ko isn’t sure how to close that gap.

Kou overcomes his confusion about becoming a vampire and decides to "like" Nazuna, while Nazuna resolves to make Kou "fall in love" with her. Without understanding what "love" even is, the two of them spend their nights together in a frenzy. Meanwhile, Detective Uguisu Anko is closing in with her plot to kill vampires, not just Nazuna. A vampire's weakness is "anything they were attached to when they were human" and so they all try to get rid of this weakness before it's too late. But, Nazuna has no memory of her human life. What is Nazuna's hidden past? Why did Anko start killing vampires? And what is the "secret" that Nazuna and Anko share? For Kou, Nazuna, Anko, a fun "late night" doesn't end here... a new "night" begins!

A new night begins as the other vampires offer to help Ko and Nazuna with their relationship. But what they really want, however, are the deets.

Ko's alarm bells go off when he meets Mahiru's new friend. Mahiru may not know what Kiku is, but Ko does.
A tense confrontation with Anko reveals an alarming secret: vampires have a weakness they didn't know about. Now, they all must decide their next move.
Some patients say Room 307 is haunted, and Kabura warns Ko and Nazuna to stay away. Something's in that forbidden room. Something that might hold the key to the past.
Kabura thought she'd be with Haru forever. But life never goes according to plan, even for vampires. Now Kabura is left with a burden she never asked for.
With Anko closing in, the vampires must destroy the source of their weakness before she can find them. Midori's search leads Ko and Nazuna to someone... unexpected.
When Ko finds the diary of a girl called Kyoko, he discovers that he wasn't Nazuna's first human friend. Nor the first person she ever considered turning...

What began as Kyoko and Nazuna's investigation into a supposed affair led to a life-changing event that altered their relationship forever.
Vampires cannot be harmed by conventional means, so what does Anko hope to accomplish by shooting them out in the open? Ko suspects there’s a method to her madness.

As the battle between vampire and hunter erupts, Ko finally realizes the full scope of what's at stake. Now he must stop both Anko and Nazuna before it's too late.

Something's wrong. Or maybe too right. Ko isn't a vampire, so why does it feel like his body's ignoring the rules? He and Nazuna need answers.

Growing up doesn't guarantee answers to life. As Ko wonders what it means to be ordinary, he and Nazuna venture through the city. Where will the night take them this time?
