Three women contend with the weighty repercussions of a fraught medical decision, in this heart-rending Welsh drama. Sara is a fetal consultant who takes on her best friend, Elin, as a patient. But when Elin experiences complications, the midwife raises questions that put Sara's career at risk and her personal life under unbearable strain.
While pregnant Elin anxiously awaits the outcome of her latest test, her friend and obstetrician Sara reassures her, but the result leaves them both reeling. Elin is faced with the most difficult decision she has ever had to make, and Sara wrestles with a choice between protocol and what she feels is right for her friend.
The decision is made and the wheels set in motion. But Elin questions her choices. Elin confides in Sara's husband Dygi. The outcome becomes much more complicated than anyone expected.
Sara's career is threatened. She has never questioned the loyalty of her friends but their statements are contributing to Sara's dire situation. Her husband Dygi makes a startling confession.
There is a bad motor vehicle accident and Sarah is left reeling after Dygi's revelation , but now Sara has little time to process everything. Gareth lends a helping hand, but what will the police investigation reveal.
