Nizhniy Novgorod, 2004. A man doesn't remember his name, who he is, or where he's from - he just woke up one day in a hospital with multiple injuries and no memory. Now he's forced to wander around the city, sleep wherever he can, and eat whatever he can get. Despite all this, he hasn't lost his human appearance or dignity, as far as it's possible in his situation. The kids nicknamed him Kompot for his special love for the drink from their school cafeteria, where a compassionate cook feeds him. A group of high school friends decide to help Kompot, find out the truth, and try to get his real life back.
Teenagers Dasha, Ptakha, Yura and Oleg are being threatened by the bully brothers Anton and Petya. Homeless Kompot is trying to help the guys.
The company is looking for the missing Kompot to thank him. Yura worries that his friends communicate with him only because of the money.
Ptakha takes Dasha's camera to a pawnshop, and Oleg strives to solve the mystery of Kompot's past. The guys go to a nightclub.
Kompot and Ptakha are forced to commit a crime. Dasha can't find her mother, and Yura suffers because her father is always busy.
Kompot ends up in the mansion, where he is visited by memories of the girl Rita. Dasha wants to help her mother get back to normal.
Kompot asks Dasha to stop the investigation. Cop Kramskoy suspects that Ptakha's father is involved in the robbery.
Kompot leaves town, and the company breaks up. Dasha spends time with Petya, Oleg fights back against his mother, and Yura gets into a fight.
Authority Dron is ready to do anything to deal with Kompot that has remembered its past. Dasha finds herself in danger.
