Super Animal War, titled the Super Sentai 40th Anniversary Work Original Drama, is a special Blu-Ray miniseries of Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. Featuring various characters from the previous Super Sentai Series in addition to the Zyuohgers, this miniseries commemorates the 40th anniversary of Super Sentai.
In order for the Zyuohger to be recognized as the 40th Super Sentai, they have to achieve the four main qualities of wisdom, strength, bravery and friendship.
While Yamato is enthusiastic about being recognised as the 40th Sentai, his Zyuman company are not well too keen on this. Jealousto's confidence is hurt when Amu throws a paper plane which hits him, causing him to run off.
After Jealousto taught them about the 4 last Super Sentai, from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters to Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, Zyuohgers are required to take to a test in form of a quiz to obtain the first Super Sentai's trait: Wisdom. After Sela, Amu, Tusk and Yamato easily passed the challenge, Leo is the only one left to face the quiz, but he finally gives the correct answer. When AkaRed congratulates the team, Masato Jin and Beet J. Stag from the Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters get in the room and challenge the Zyuohgers for the "Doubutsu Sentai" title in a duel.
