High school freshman Sakai Yonosuke, aka Eiyu, is obsessed with rom-coms, especially ones about childhood friends. But even though he has two childhood friends of his own—Shio and Akari—he's sadly given up on romance becoming a reality. Little does he know, both girls have the hots for him! A humorous will-they-or-won't-they rom-com about friendship, love, and first crushes!
Shio and Akari, Eiyu's childhood friends, each try to get his attention in their own twisted way.
Eiyu runs into Shio on the bus and then runs into Akari on his way home.
Shio and Akari find out Eiyu reads rom-coms.
Runako moves back into the neighborhood for school and will live with Eiyu temporarily.
Akari eats very spicy curry bread. Eiyu ends up in the bath with the three of them. Shio studies with Eiyu.
Eiyu, Shio, Akari, and Runako go to the beach. Eiyu and Akari get left behind and spend the night together.
Eiyu consults Runako about Akari. Akari and Shio admit to each other their feelings for Eiyu.
Shio tells Eiyu she can't make the fireworks. Haru makes her first appearance.

Eiyu is confused after being kissed by Haru and Shio. Shio and Eiyu become sports day committee members.
Shio and Eiyu talk it out, and Eiyu has an epiphany.
