Working at the diner are Jim's nephew Li Ming, Saleng, and occasionally chicken supplier Kaipa who doesn't mind having an excuse to see him.
It's just another night at Uncle Jim's restaurant when he meets a drunken customer, Wen. The two spend the night in each other's company and when Jim tells Wen it can only be one night, Wen is cool with that. Jim's nephew Li Ming makes a delivery that brings about a false accusation, the recompense for which Jim can't afford.
A one-night stand blossoms into a long-term relationship. Wen starts working part-time at Jim's Chicken and Rice Diner.
